Christopher Rigg joined Global Economics Group as a Principal in their Financial Services consulting practice in July 2023 to focus on advising banks, broker dealers, and asset managers to use technology and data to better manage risks, improve profitability, and transform the client experience.
Christopher has extensive experience in the financial services industry serving in multiple roles as both an industry executive and a consulting services provider where he managed large transformation programs, led large global teams, and oversaw large books of business. He has a strong record of change delivery in capital markets, wealth management, corporate/investment banking, and payments.
Prior Global Economics Group, Christopher led the capital markets industry for Sutherland Global Services, a technology transformation company. Christopher has also served in senior leadership roles at Ernst & Young, IBM, Bank of America, and Accenture.
Christopher’s engagement experience includes:
Leading the post-merger integration program for the one of the largest asset manager acquisitions on record.
Defining the FX go-to-market strategy for a major global custodian to best position their execution capabilities and pricing across key client segments.
Leading the global transformation program for a global investment bank’s Listed and OTC Derivatives Clearing Business consolidating their core clearing platforms from 8 to 1 and reducing their operational footprint by over 50%.
Transforming a global broker dealer’s risk management organization to improve its ability to comply with Reg 15c3.3, the “Customer Protection Rule.” Defined and lead a program to change their core business processes around securities lending, repo transactions and other settlement and delivery processes.
